A secluded Alaskan float house... People often say they've come to Alaska and
lived the dream, but they haven't really lived the Alaska dream until
they've spent the night in solitude in a hidden bay aboard an Alaska
floathouse-When they've sat in awe as the sun kisses the sea with
waves of red, gold and purple, woken to the cry of an eagle hunting
for its prey, and felt the power of a humpback whale's call in the
mist-fillednight, then, perhaps they can say they've lived the
Alaskan dream...

With an open layout, designed to house a large group, the Caboose can sleep up to ten people in a bunkhouse fashion and offers an opportunity to see the quiet beauty of Alaska that few experience.
Nothing goes better with your morning coffee than an Alaskan sunrise, a few visiting otter, and an occasional burst of air from a humpback whale passing by your secluded vacation float house.
The cabin is heated with an oil cook stove and has a small gas bar-b-que. There is also a marine toilet and a camp shower.
Activities and Attractions
The cabin is usually located just 20 minutes from downtown Sitka. and requires the use of a boat to get to Sitka. If you do not have your own boat, there is an 18 ft. boat that is available for renting.
And, if you'd like to combine your stay with a private fishing, hunting or sightseeing excursion, owner, Jim Phillips is a well-known hunting, fishing and sightseeing guide, registered with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Whales, sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, deer, deep sea and fresh water fishing, crabbing, clamming, secluded trails, hiking, campng, Sitka Raptor Center, Alaska Day Festival, Summer Music Festival and more.
